Empowering Men’s Health with the Help of Dedicated Partners

The Lagos Well Men Outreach is powered by the generous support of OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation, which has provided resources to facilitate eye screenings and distribute glasses to those in need. This foundation, known for its commitment to eliminating uncorrected poor vision, plays a critical role in ensuring participants gain access to quality eye care.

The collaboration with the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Lagos State and the Nigeria Police Chaplaincy Service further amplifies the event’s reach and impact. By leveraging the church’s community networks and the police chaplaincy’s trusted presence, the outreach aims to engage a broad spectrum of Lagos’ male population, especially those who may otherwise face barriers to healthcare.

Projected Outreach Goals

  • Raise Awareness: Educate men on the importance of regular health check-ups and the early detection of diseases.
  • Provide Access to Essential Health Services: Offer free screenings for common yet critical health issues, thereby empowering men with knowledge about their health status.
  • Support Preventive Health: Encourage lifestyle changes by identifying potential health risks, helping men make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
  • Build Community Connections: Foster trust within the community by collaborating with respected institutions, thus strengthening the support network for men’s health in Lagos.

This outreach exemplifies GVSIF’s commitment to improving health outcomes through collaboration, compassion, and dedicated service. As the organization continues to host similar events across Nigeria, GVSIF remains at the forefront of healthcare access and awareness initiatives, particularly for underserved populations.
